In order to obtain CLE credit from your state bar association, your state must first approve "provider accreditation" for the course. No Academy course has ever failed to obtain accreditation from any state for which the Academy has applied. Various courses have been approved in 27 states. Accreditation for any Academy course has been approved, or approval is pending, from the State Bar of California. If you seek CLE credit from your state bar other than California, you must first apply for provider accreditation for the Academy Course for which you are enrolling. The process is simple and typically requires the submission of a short form, an application fee (usually under $100), and information about the presenters and the content of the course. [NOTE: If you attended a course prior to the course obtaining accrediation from your state, your state bar will typically approve it even if applied for after the event takes place. Follow the instructions below.] 1. Check list of approved states for the respective pending course in column at right on this page. If your state is not listed, proceed with the application as explained below. 2. Contact your state bar association CLE office. Explain that you are seeking accreditation on behalf of a provider, The King Bankruptcy Academy. Request an application form. 3. Click on the "FACULTY" button at the top of this page and print out the entire web page. 4. Click on the "COURSES" button at the top of this page, find your course, and print out the entire web page for the course. The web page should provide all details about the course, including an outline. 5. Fill out the the application form, sign it, and mail with the fee and the pages you have printed out. Where the form asks for "Provider," type King Bankruptcy Academy. Where the form asks for number of CLE unites you are requesting, enter the number of hours the course will be, as shown on the web page for that course (see "COURSES' button at top). The number of CLE units is typically equivalent to the number of hours the course will be. 6. Where the form requests "Provider's signature," you are authorized to represent the Academy for this course. 7. The process may take several weeks to a month. 8. Bring with you any documentation your state bar CLE office provides you, and the receipt for the application fee, to the program, or mail to King Bankruiptcy
Academy The Academy will reimburse your application fee for the accreditation. 9. Please notify the Academy when you receive approval by sending an email message to the email address below. 10. If you have any problems or questions, send them to Morgan King at
