The Academy conducted two one-day seminars devoted to discharge of Federal and California state income, E.D.D. and sales taxes. The programs were held May 11 in San Diego and May 18 in Oakland.

The Academy is making plans to broaden the subject area to include full clinics on the fundamentals of consumer bankruptcy practice, as well as specialized areas for more experienced lawyers. Among course topics being considered, how to manage a consumer practice, how to market a consumer practice, lien avoidance, ethics and compensation issues, and contested and adversary proceedings.
